BALTIMORE CONNECTED: STORIES OF ACTIVISM
Ages 16-29
Spring 2020, Online
In this distance learning videography workshop, student fellows will meet remotely with Baltimore activists, artists, and community leaders to learn about their work. They’ll then share their discoveries through short videos. In conversation with guest speakers, they'll consider a range of social and economic challenges, from street violence to the need for green spaces to the crisis of COVID, and they'll find out how those challenges are being met creatively. Through collaborative and individual short videos, they'll share the stories of the activists they meet with, as well as their own stories about community engagement. They'll learn interview protocols and the basics of videography, including audio and editing. Their work will be shared at a virtual screening and on the program website. Limited to 8 student fellows.
